Boyds, MD - The Washington Spirit has signed Waldorf Soccer Club as an official Youth Club Partner for the 2018 National Women's Soccer League season.
The partnership provides numerous benefits and exclusive opportunities for Waldorf SC members, including an interactive training session with Spirit professional players and coaches, the chance to attend an open practice with the Spirit first team, preferred access to youth experiences at Spirit home games and discounted season tickets for the club.
"We are happy to partner with Waldorf SC, and we admire the club's dedication to serving its members and developing players," said Spirit President Chris Hummer. "We're excited to have their support and look forward to providing unique opportunities for their young players and coaches."
Waldorf SC is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018. The club has been a pillar in the Maryland youth soccer community since 1978, developing players in accordance with their skill level and desire, in a safe, professional, positive and fun environment.
"We're thrilled to partner with the Spirit as we build our girls program, said Waldorf SC President Dave Weavill. "Our hope is that our players and their coaches will be inspired by some of the greatest players in women's soccer. Our girls crave positive role models in soccer - and we believe there is no better way to promote that than with the added exposure our partnership will provide."
