Wagner Recalled to St. Louis

The St. Louis Blues announced today that defenseman Steve Wagner has been recalled to the team from the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

Wagner, 23, appeared in just four games with the Rivermen, recording one assist and a plus-1 rating with the team. Before being assigned to Peoria, the 6-2, 200-pound rearguard cracked the Blues roster out of training camp this fall, seeing action in 21 games and scoring twice with a total of eight points.

He will return to St. Louis prior to Peoria's road trip to Iowa to play the Stars on Friday night at 7:07 pm. St. Louis' next game is at home against the San Jose Sharks on Friday at 7:30 pm.
