Volunteer Registration for 2022 Grey Cup Festival Now Open

With support from SaskEnergy, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the 2022 Grey Cup Festival Volunteer Host Organizing Committee are thrilled to open volunteer registration to the community for the 2022 Grey Cup Festival that takes place November 15 - 20, 2022.

The six-day festival that invites visitors from across Canada to Bring it to the Heartland will require an enthusiastic and dedicated team of approximately 1,200 to 1,500 volunteers to ensure the events and programs deliver long-lasting memories and positive experiences for the community and attendees.

"As a community-minded organization, SaskEnergy takes pride in being known as the 'champion of volunteers' across our province for nearly 20 years," SaskEnergy's Acting President and CEO Mark Guillet said. "That's why we are so honoured to be the volunteer sponsor of the 2022 Grey Cup Festival. Volunteers are pivotal to major events like the Grey Cup, and I'm confident the enthusiasm and dedication of the many volunteers is going to make this the best Grey Cup Festival yet."

An event of this calibre depends on a team of volunteers, and Saskatchewan people will undoubtedly rise to the challenge as they have done in the past. Fans from across the country have also expressed an interest in volunteering to make this year's Grey Cup Festival a success.

"This event is an opportunity to bring everyone together and show CFL fans how truly special Saskatchewan is," said Roughriders President and Grey Cup Festival co-chair Craig Reynolds. "In just over 80 days, we will kick off the greatest celebration in Canadian football - all made possible because of our incredible volunteers."

All volunteers are required to complete an easy online registration process, fill out a criminal record check form and submit a volunteer commitment fee. Once registered, volunteers will be able to select their preferred volunteer positions and shifts when they become available in the volunteer system as early as October.

The public is encouraged to register early, as the volunteer positions are expected to fill up quickly. Online registration and additional information are available on the Grey Cup Festival website.
