Vipers to make All-Star push

HIDALGO, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that All-Star candidates Alpha Bangura and Trent Strickland will appearing at the La Plaza Mall Foot Locker tomorrow from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to promote their candidacy to the fans.

Fans can vote once every 24-hours at http://www.nba.com/dleague/allstar2009/asb/daily.html or by clicking here. Voting ends on Friday.

"Trent and Alpha have had incredible seasons so far and we think they have earned their place among the league's elite. We hope the community will help us to place some Vipers on the D-League All-Star Team," President and General Manager Brian Michael Cooper said.

Accompanied by Fang, Strickland and Bangura will available for autographs and photographs.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets two tickets for the price of one from Bangura and Strickland for this weekend's 7:00 p.m. games against the Colorado 14ers at Dodge Arena.
