Vipers Announce Economic Stimulus Package

HIDALGO, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that they are offering Family Four Packs for all remaining games to help provide affordable entertainment and dinner at Dodge Arena.

For just $40, fans can get four tickets and four hot dog combos. Additionally, at the next two games, fans will be able to t get one ticket and one hot dog combo for $10.

"In this time of economic strife, we want to make sure residents of the Rio Grande Valley are still able to go out and have a good time. I can't think of anywhere else to find such a remarkable deal," Vipers President and General Manager Brian Michael Cooper said.

The Vipers next home game is on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Doors open at 6:00.

In continuing with the theme of affordable entertainment, the Vipers will be offering $5 tickets to Winter Texans and $2 tickets to Indiana residents. Beer will be sold for $1.50 and the first 200 fans in the arena will receive a voucher for a free Original Sandwich Combo from Chick-Fil-A. All fans in attendance will have a chance to be selected to shoot a three-pointer to win free Chick-Fil-A products for one year. Additionally, the first 75 children under the age of 12 will receive t-shirts courtesy of Pena Eye Institute.

The Rio Grande Valley Vipers are a professional basketball team in the NBA Development League (NBA D-League). The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA's official minor league and features 16 teams with direct affiliations to NBA teams. The league has produced 15 percent of the players on 2007-08 end-of-season NBA rosters and continues to develop current NBA coaches and referees. In fostering the league's connection to the community, its teams, players and staff promote youth basketball, support local needs and interests, and assist in educational development through NBA D-League Cares programs. The NBA D-League also advances the game of basketball as the research and development arm of the NBA.
