Vipers Acquire Goudelock from Sioux Falls

MCALLEN, Texas -- The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers today announced that they have acquired Andrew Goudelock from the Sioux Falls Skyforce in a three-team deal. Sioux Falls receives Mychel Thompson and Donald Sloan from the Erie Bayhawks. Erie will receive Mike Singletary from the Vipers and a future 2013 second round draft pick from Sioux Falls.

Goudelock, a 6'3" guard, was picked 46^th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He saw minutes in 40 games last season and averaged 4.4 ppg as a Laker before being waived prior to the start of the 2012-13 NBA season. Sioux Falls drafted Goudelock as the second overall pick in the 2012-13 NBA Development League Draft. Goudelock has averaged 20.3 ppg in 14 games for the Skyforce.

The Stone Mountain, Ga. native played four seasons at the College of Charleston from 2007-11. During his senior season, he placed fourth in the nation in scoring with 23.4 ppg and held the second best three-point percentage in the nation with 40.7 percent on 131 of 322 attempts.

Rio Grande Valley fans will be able to watch Goudelock live when the Vipers visit the Austin Toros Friday, Jan. 4. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game can be watched for free and live on the NBA Development League YouTube Channel.
