
Veteran Sportscaster Gina Miller Joins FC Dallas

FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas has hired Gina Miller as Vice President of Media and Communications, the club announced today.
Miller will oversee communications and public relations strategy, produce and host original multimedia content and will serve as FC Dallas' spokesperson.
"We are very excited to welcome Gina to the FC Dallas family," FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said. "Gina has been a fixture in the North Texas sports scene for many years. She understands the modern media landscape, and her experience in the market and her passion for the sport and our club make her a perfect fit for FC Dallas."
Miller is a familiar face in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and beyond. She has hosted and produced FC Dallas Extra Time, a pre-game show that airs on TXA21 as well as live-streaming FC Dallas digital content for the past two seasons. She is an award-winning sportscaster who worked at KCBS/KCAL in Los Angeles, at CBS11/TXA21 and WFAA-TV in DFW, WBIR-TV in Knoxville and KUAM-TV in Guam.
She also worked for the Dallas Cowboys as a member of the team's award-winning television department from 1999-2002. While at CBS11/TXA21, Miller hosted the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers pre-and post-game shows. She started her sports media career as a media services intern for the Houston Rockets, where she won an NBA championship ring during the 1994-95 season.
Miller comes to FC Dallas from SmithGeiger LLC, a California-based media research and consulting firm where she served as a Senior Media Consultant. With SmithGeiger, Miller specialized in developing social and digital media strategies to support sports, news and weather coverage. She also provided customized talent coaching as well as strategic broadcast news counsel.
She is a highly sought-after speaker, focusing on issues relating to social media and sports, sports media, digital media integration and working women. She is also a prolific online publisher, owning and operating multiple websites. Miller's first day with FC Dallas will be Monday, Dec. 5.
