
Chicago Fire to Host Professional Soccer Combine

CHICAGO- The Chicago Fire will host a professional soccer combine at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch (3626 N Talman Ave., Chicago, IL 60618) from December 1-3.The combine will feature scouts and coaches from the Chicago Fire as well as teams in the USL, NASL, PDL, and NPSL. Each registrant will participate in at least one day of drills and scrimmages, and a select group will be called back for a final day.
The combine is open to male soccer players ages 18 and older, and it will include two separate phases: an initial evaluation day, and a second day for selected players. Players will be slotted into two-hour windows on Dec. 1 or 2 for physical testing, technical testing, a training session, and scrimmages led by Chicago Fire soccer operations staff. Those selected will return for the final day on Dec. 3, and will participate in scrimmages in front of all scouts and coaches in attendance. Finally, players deemed qualified are eligible to be invited to a trial during the 2017 pre-season with one of the pro clubs in attendance.
Players can register at: http://www.chicago-fire.com/prosoccercombine. All registrants will participate in one initial session on Dec. 1 or 2, and must be available for up to two hours during that time slot. Participants will be notified of their time slot one week prior to the event.
