North Adams, MA- The Vermont Mountaineers were in action tonight and back on the road for a matchup against the North Adams SteepleCats. Vermont was tested but pulled through to earn a 5-4 win.

It was the second inning when play truly started in Massachusetts. Both teams would score two runs making this ball game a great one from the jump. Tom Ruscitti ( Fairleigh Dickinson U, Bayville, New Jersey) recorded the only RBI on the night as Vermont found a variation of ways to score runs this evening.

Jake Simon ( Fairleigh Dickinson U, Lake Worth, Florida) earned the win tonight on the bump for Vermont. He recorded a strikeout, three hits and no earned runs in his three innings of work. Kaleb Sophy ( Shippensburg U, Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania) was dealt the loss for North Adams tonight.

Adam Retzbach (Lehigh U, Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania) showed up again tonight for Vermont with a double, a walk and scored a run. Retzbach was also very impressive behind the plate for the Mountaineers.

Vermont now has won a whopping seventeen games this season with only one loss. The Mountaineers continue to dominate the league in almost every category. The team's win streak now stands at nine consecutive games.
