Vaquedano Promoted To Triple-A

Portland, Maine- Portland Sea Dogs' right-handed pitcher Jose Vaquedano has been promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket. Outfielder Jered Stanley joins the team from Extended Spring Training and will wear uniform #34.

Vaquedano has made 13 appearances with the Sea Dogs this season and posted a 4-0 record with a 0.41 ERA (one earned run in 22 innings pitched). He has 17 strikeouts and four walks. The San Antonio, Texas resident was selected by the Boston Red Sox in 35th round of the June 2002 draft.

Outfielder Jered Stanley played for Tennessee-Wesleyan in 2007 where he hit .438 with 26 home runs and 88 RBI's. He was selected the 2007 NAIA Player of the Year. He was signed by the Red Sox as a non-drafted free agent in August 2007. Stanley has appeared in 13 professional games, eight with the Gulf Coast League Red Sox and five with the Lowell Spinners.
