
UVA, PSU, UNC, and Duke to Face Spirit in Preseason Matches

BOYDS, MD - The Washington Spirit announced today the club's 2016 preseason schedule, featuring four games against top NCAA Division-I women's college teams.
The Spirit will play three exhibition matches at Maureen Hendricks Field at the Maryland SoccerPlex against top local college women's teams: University of Virginia on Saturday March 19, Penn State University on Saturday March 26, and University of North Carolina on Saturday April 2. These matches will all be free and general admission.
On Saturday April 9, the Spirit will host its annual charity match against Duke University also at Maureen Hendricks Field. All of the profits from the match will go to benefit a charity which will be announced at a later date. Fans and supporters can purchase general admission tickets online for $10 each in advance. Tickets will be available for purchase on site the day of game, but will cost $15 each. Fans can purchase their tickets through the Washington Spirit online ticket portal here.
The Spirit will host the club's annual Meet-the-Team Event & Fan Fest on a to-be-determined date at the Maryland SoccerPlex. Season ticket holders will also be able to pick up their season tickets and scarves (for those who qualified), as well as mingle with the Spirit players, coaches, and staff.
