Atlanta Dream News Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Basketball announced today that 17 athletes are expected to participate in the 2024 USA 3x3 Women's National Team training camp. The participants were selected by the USA Basketball 3x3 Women's National Team Committee and will be considered for future USA 3x3 national team assignments.

The camp features athletes who bring a combination of USA Basketball (5-on-5, 3x3), professional and collegiate experience.

Participating athletes include Azana Baines, Cameron Brink, Cierra Burdick, Christina Dalce, Blake Dietrick, Allisha Gray, Dearica Hamby, Linnae Harper, Rhyne Howard, Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell, Lucy Olsen, Katie Lou Samuelson, Madison Scott, Hailey Van Lith, Mikaylah Williams and Camille Zimmerman.

Training camp will feature 2020 Olympic 3x3 gold medalist Gray and all four members of the gold-medal-winning 2023 FIBA 3x3 Women's World Cup Team, which includes Brink, Burdick, Harper and Van Lith. More information on the athletes is attached.

USA Basketball will host training camp April 17-20 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The committee will evaluate participating athletes for national team opportunities including the 2024 USA 3x3 Women's National Team, which will compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics; the 2024 USA 3x3 U23 Women's National Team; and teams that will compete on the 2024 FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.

Camp will be run by 2024 USA 3x3 National Team head coach Jennifer Rizzotti and assistant coach Tammi Reiss.

As previously announced, USA Basketball will host the opening event of the 2024 FIBA 3x3 Women's Series from April 23-24 at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. The USA will have two entries to the event, with athletes being selected to participate following training camp. The event marks the first time a 3x3 Women's Series event will be hosted in the United States since the Series' inception in 2019.

Different than 5-on-5, 3x3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock. Play is continuous, as teams "clear" the ball behind the 2-point line following a made basket, defensive rebound or steal. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious; or if time expires then the team leading wins.
