Federated Insurance and Minnesota Lynx Celebrate Local Roots with Official Jersey Patch Partnership

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx and Federated Insurance (Federated) today announced Federated Insurance as the Official Jersey Patch Partner of the Minnesota Lynx. The multi-year deal will focus on elevating women's sports and fostering meaningful impact and change in communities across the state.

"We are incredibly proud to show our support for women's professional sports as the new Jersey Patch Partner for the Minnesota Lynx," said Federated Insurance Chairman Jeff Fetters. "The Lynx are a tremendously talented team both on and off the court, and true source of pride for our state. Federated Insurance is fortunate to have a longstanding relationship with the Lynx, as our two organizations share many of the same values - including a passion for giving back to the community and a firm commitment to a championship culture."

"The jersey patch platform will provide Federated the opportunity to amplify its brand and showcase the meaningful work they are doing with youth mentoring."

As one of the team's longest-tenured partners in its 20th year, Federated Insurance and the Lynx have continually worked to uplift the communities where its employees and players live, work and play. The Lynx have supported Federated's annual charity event, the Federated Challenge since commencing the partnership in 2004. The Federated Challenge has raised more than $52 million to support youth mentoring and educational programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters and is one of the largest charitable giving events in Minnesota. Over the next several seasons, Federated and the Lynx will continue to work together on a host of community-focused initiatives in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters both in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities.

The patch will appear on all Lynx jerseys, including Heroine, Explorer and Rebel Edition Uniforms. The first on-court wear of the official patch will debut at Minnesota's first preseason game on May 4 vs. the Chicago Sky at Target Center. Lynx jerseys featuring the Federated Insurance patch will be sold exclusively at the Lynx Team Stores in Target Center.
