River City Rascals News Release
The River City Rascals are back in town tonight and entering into a key nine game home stand, during this intense push for the Frontier League Playoffs. Thus far, the Rascals have sold 6 player contracts to MLB franchises. To help get Rascal fans excited for the playoff race, we have numerous promotional nights in store!
Thursday, July 24th- Christmas Eve in July
Come join us at T.R. Hughes Ballpark for Christmas Eve in July and tell Santa Claus what you want for Christmas a little early this year! Santa will be at the game to throw out a ceremonial first pitch and pose for photos with fans. We will be celebrating with Christmas music, Christmas lights and delicious Christmas cookies - all while watching the Rascals play ball! Fans are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Salvation Army and receive a special offer to at the Rascals concession stand.
Friday, July 25th - Faith and Family Night
The Rascals would like you to join them this coming Friday for Faith and Family Night, presented by Bott Radio Network 91.5FM | 1320AM. Friends of Jesus, a local Christian band, will be preforming before the start of game. Fans can brush up on your bible knowledge, as we will be having a few rounds of bible trivia! In addition, one of our very own Rascals players will be giving a testimony pre-game on the field. Friday is also Highway Safety Night, presented by Mo-DOT. Come join the Rascals for a night of Christian fellowship!
Saturday, July 26th- Bark in the Park
Bring your dog out to the ballpark on Saturday, July 26th to have some fun with Ruffy and the Rascals. All dogs will be admitted to the game at no cost, are welcome to participate in a pre-game parade, and Sit Means Sit Dog Training will be performing throughout the night. So bring your dog out to watch some exciting Rascals baseball, receive a free frosty paw and maybe even have your dog win the best dressed pet contest. If you are not a dog owner, this is your lucky day! Act Now Rescue will be on the main concourse with dogs available for adoption and looking for a new home!
Sunday, July 27th - O'Fallon Parks and Rec Night
Come join us this upcoming Sunday for some Park and Recreation fun at T.R. Hughes Ballpark! O'Fallon Parks and Rec will be at ballpark with various crafts and activities for fans! We will also have special offers for fans that are thoroughly involved with our community's parks and recreational programs. Don't Forget- it's also Kids Club Sunday! Kids who are members of our FREE Kids Club are invited to come out and make a S'MORE starting at 4:05 when the gates open!
Monday, July 28th - Celebrate St. Louis 250
What better place to celebrate the city of baseball, other than a ballpark? Come join us at T.R. Hughes ballpark as we celebrate the 250th year of St. Louis, MO. Fans will receive a free slice of birthday cake, courtesy of your River City Rascals. Additionally, we will be offering bleacher seats at only $2.50. Be sure to study up on your Missouri history, as we will be asking trivia questions throughout the game!
Tuesday, July 29th- Mo Lottery Money Madness
Missouri Lottery will be giving away lottery scratch off tickets to the first 500 adults through the gates! The Lottery has generated more than $4.8 BILLION for the state and Missouri's public education! Come out to T.R. Hughes Ballpark and join us as the Rascals take on the Normal CornBelters! Be sure to be at the gates when they open at 6:05 to receive your free scratch off ticket, presented by the Missouri Lottery!
Wednesday, July 30th - Dollar Hotdog Night
Guess how much the hotdogs at our main concession stand will cost on Dollar Hotdog Night? That's right just one dollar! Come on out to T.R. Hughes Ballpark and enjoy this great combination of baseball and hotdogs, at a great price! Tickets start as low as $6.00, and hotdogs only $1.00, presented by Armour Eckrich.
Thursday, July 31st- Back to School / Teacher Appreciation Night
The Rascals will be giving away Rascals backpacks to the first 500 children, ages 15 and under, that walk through the gates, presented by Ameren Missouri. There will also be various local businesses on the concourse donating school supplies to the children to fill their backpacks. This is a great way to stock up on 2014-2015 school supplies, for FREE! In addition, we will be recognizing outstanding area teachers on the field. Teachers will receive a $3.00 discount on tickets with proof of employment! If you are not a teacher, bring unopened school supplies to be exchanged for a discounted ticket price!
Friday, August 1st - 1st Responders Night
The River City Rascals will be welcoming all First Responders to the ballpark on Friday, August 1st. Rescue vehicles will be on site for fans to tour and local first responders get in FREE, just show us your ID! All silent auction proceeds on this night will go towards Respond and Rescue.
