South Carolina Stingrays News Release
STINGRAYS PROMOTIONAL UPDATE - FEBRUARY 28
Saturday, March 11th vs. Florida - Pink In The Rink/Joe Devin Bobblehead
The Stingrays' next home game will be their annual Pink in the Rink night featuring a Joe Devin Bobblehead Giveaway courtesy of Y102.5, ABC News 4 and SC Sports Medicine! The team will wear specialty pink jerseys and the ice will be colored pink! The first 2,000 fans will receive a bobblehead of Stingrays captain Joe Devin, who is currently with the Cleveland Monsters in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Following the game, player jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for Share Our Suzy Lowcountry. Share Our Suzy is a local nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients in our community. Funds raised help cover expenses such as wigs, prosthetics, childcare, gas cards, utility bill assistance, medication assistance and more. The organization helps cover the critical areas that insurance companies do not. Share Our Suzy's goal is to allow breast cancer patients to focus solely on recovery and not the financial stress brought on by their very difficult battle.
Sunday, March 12th vs. Florida - Undie Sunday
Undie Sunday (un-dee sun-dee)! Bring a new packaged pair of underwear to the game and when the Stingrays score their first goal, toss the undies onto the ice. The underwear will be collected to aid local non-profits.
Saturday, March 18th vs. Greenville - Pucks And Paws Night
Pucks and Paws presented by News Radio 94.3 and Charleston Animal Society! Yes, bring your dog to the game night. A truly unique experience, as we encourage our fans to enjoy the game with their furry, four-legged friends! Visit www.charlestonanimalsociety.org to help with the "Brackets for Good Tournament". Each week through March, they will match up with a different nonprofit that they will try to outscore with the most donations. (Every dollar equals one point!) All donations for Charleston Animal Society stay with the animals.
Single-game tickets for the 2016-17 season are on sale now at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office and ticketmaster.com.
