Union Fall 3-2 against D.C. United

Washington D.C. (July 26, 2015) - The Philadelphia Union fell 3-2 to D.C. United in the fourth meeting between the two clubs this season.

The Union made an immediate impression, with C.J. Sapong scoring 20 seconds after the start of the game thus breaking the club's record for fastest goal scored. Three minutes later, Sebastien Le Toux scored to make the game 2-0 in favor of the visiting side. Together, the two goals are the fastest consecutive goals scored in Union history. Despite going down early, D.C. United made a comeback with Alvaro Saborio scoring his first goal as a member of D.C. United in the 37th minute. Nick DeLeon and Fabian Espindola added to the score in the second half. With the defeat, the Union fall to ninth place in the league with a record of 6-12-4. The Union return to action in PPL Park on August 1 to face The New York Red Bulls.

Sapong breaks Jack McInerney's record (58 seconds) for the fastest goal scored in club history, finding the back of the net after 20 seconds of league play - Sapong's goal ranks seventh in the league record book for fastest goal scored - The Union now has a record 2-2-0 this season against D.C. United, with both victories coming at home and both losses occurring on the road - Cristian Madiana makes his tenth assist this season and is now tied for second in the league in assists - With the defeat, the Union remain in ninth place in the league with a recored of 6-12-4
