
Eastern Conference-Leading D.C. United Erases Two-Goal Deficit in 3-2 Win over Philadelphia

Washington, D.C. (July 26, 2015) - D.C. United (11-7-5, 38 points) snapped a two-game skid with three unanswered goals in a 3-2 comeback win over Philadelphia (6-12-4, 22 points).
After C.J. Sapong scored 21 seconds into the game and Sebastien Le Toux doubled the visitors' lead in the fourth minute, Ãlvaro SaborÃo scored in his D.C. United debut in the 37th minute to cut the lead in half. Nick DeLeon and Fabián EspÃndola added goals in the 66th and 79th minutes to give United a victory in front of a season-high crowd of 19,125.
With the victory D.C. United is tied atop the MLS Supporters Shield standings with FC Dallas (11-5-5, 38 points) and remains in first place in the Eastern Conference.
United returns to action at RFK Stadium on Aug. 1 against Real Salt Lake (7 p.m., Comcast SportsNet).
*D.C. United captured the season series against Philadelphia, beating the Union for the second time in three games and the second time in a row at RFK Stadium. It was also the team's second straight come-from-behind victory over the Union.
*Ãlvaro SaborÃo scored in his debut for D.C. United, the 64th goal of his MLS career and the fourth overall for the former Real Salt Lake forward in 2015.
*Nick DeLeon scored his first regular season goal of 2015, the 11th of his career.
*DeLeon also recorded his fourth assist of 2015, the 14th of his career. It is one shy of his career-high five assists in 2015.
*Fabián EspÃndola scored his 2nd goal of 2015, the 57th of his MLS career.
*Chris Korb recorded his first and second assists of 2015, the ninth and tenth of his career.
*D.C. United utilized its 22nd different starting lineup in 23 games.
*With a goal from SaborÃo and two assists from Korb, D.C. United has now had 18 different players record a goal or assist in 2015.
*D.C. United recorded its MLS-leading ninth one-goal win of the season.
*D.C. United improved to 8-1-3 at home in 2015.
*D.C. United's record is 6-6-1 when allowing the first goal and 4-3-1 when trailing at halftime.
*D.C. United has scored 18 of its 27 goals in the second half, including 17 goals in the 60th minute or later.
*D.C. United is tied for the lead in the MLS Supporters Shield standings and in first place in the Eastern Conference.
*D.C. United scored three goals in a game for the second time this season - the first time came in the team's 3-1 win over Chicago on June 3.
*D.C. United trailed by two goals for the second time this season - the only other time was in a 2-0 loss at the New York Red Bulls on March 22.
*D.C. United's all-time record against Philadelphia is now 7-5-3, and 4-1-3 at RFK Stadim.
*Head Coach Ben Olsen's overall record is now 60-71-40. He is 7-4-3 vs. Philadelphia.
