
Tyler Flowers Joins Rome

Rome, GA - Marietta resident Tyler Flowers joins the Rome Braves tonight as club begins a three game series in Savannah against the Sand Gnats. Flowers split time between first base and catcher last season in Danville while hitting .279, with five home runs, and 16 RBI. He becomes the fifth player on the team from the state of Georgia.
Outfielder Ernesto Mejia has been sent to Danville of the Appalachian League. Mejia has seen limited action since joining Rome on April 30th hitting .273 in three games.
Rome begins a three game set with Savannah tonight. The Braves return to action at State Mutual Stadium on May 8th against the Asheville Tourists. Upcoming promotions include:
