Ty Harris Signs Two-Year Extension with Connecticut Sun

Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun has signed guard, Ty Harris, to a multi-year extension through the 2025 season.

"We are overjoyed to announce Ty's multi-year extension," remarked Sun General Manager, Darius Taylor. "She is a great fit for our organization and culture as a person and a player. We look forward to her being a part of our franchise for the years to come."

The Sun acquired Harris in a three-team trade with the New York Liberty and the Dallas Wings on January 16, 2023. She was originally drafted as the seventh overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft by Dallas, where she spent her first three seasons in the league. Over 88 career contests, the Michigan native has averaged 5.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. Most recently, Harris tallied a preseason-high eight points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Sun's 85-68 win over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, May 14.

The Connecticut Sun tip off the 2023 season on Friday, May 19 at the Indiana Fever at 7:00 PM EST.
