
Connecticut Sun Acquire Leigha Brown in Trade with Atlanta Dream

Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun has acquired rookie guard, Leigha Brown in a trade with the Atlanta Dream. As a part of the trade, the Sun send their third round pick in the 2025 draft to the Dream.
Brown comes to Connecticut after being drafted 15th overall by the Atlanta Dream in the 2023 WNBA Draft. The 6-1 guard returned for her fifth year of eligibility during the 2022-23 season with the University of Michigan to lead the Wolverines in scoring (17.5) and assists (5.8). Brown's accolades with Michigan include All-Big Ten First Team (2023), All-Big Ten Second Team (2021, 2022), AP All-American honorable mention (2023) and WBCA All-American honorable mention (2022). Prior to her three seasons at Michigan, Brown played two seasons for the University of Nebraska where she was named the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year (2020) and All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (2020).
The Sun tip off the 2023 season on Friday, May 19 at the Indiana Fever at 7:00 PM EST.
