Niagara IceDogs News Release
The IceDogs and Mini St. Catharines closed out 2010 in style as two fans left the New Year's Eve IceDogs game with a Mini after winning Mini St. Catharines "Shoot to win a Mini with a Mini Stick" contest! The final on New Year's Eve wrapped up what had been a season long promotion leading up to the New Year's Eve IceDogs game.
The final on New Year's Eve saw eight finalists return for a chance to shoot for the big prize, a brand new Mini! All eight contestants had qualified for the final by making a shot during a preliminary round "Mini Shoot to Win with a Mini Stick" competition at an IceDogs game earlier in the season.
While the New Year's Eve game was a big night for the IceDogs as they picked up a big 5-1 victory, it was obviously an even bigger night for the pair of IceDogs fans, when amazingly two of the eight contestants made their shot for the Mini. This created a storybook finish to what has been an amazing and extremely popular contest during its first year
The IceDogs would like to congratulate the two fans on their win of a Mini and would like to thank Mini of St. Catharines for putting together what was an amazing contest!
