Spokane Chiefs News Release

The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that prospects Cole Wadsworth and Will Jamieson have signed WHL Standard Player Agreements.

From Penticton, B.C., Wadsworth was selected by the Chiefs in the fourth round (73rd overall) of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.

"Cole is a highly skilled forward with tremendous puck skills and offensive sense," Spokane's Assistant General Manager Jim Hammett said. "He pairs that skill with a strong level of competition. We're excited to see what he brings to the ice in Spokane."

The 5-foot-8, 130-pound forward has posted 48 points (20G-28A) in 29 games played with Okanagan Hockey Academy Black U17 Prep this season, adding on eight more (3G-5A) in four playoff games. Wadsworth also played four games with Okanagan Hockey Academy's U18 squad, where he tacked on three points (1G-2A) in four games.

From Delburne, Alberta, Jamieson was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (111th overall) of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.

"Will's skating and skill are his biggest strengths on the ice," Spokane's Assistant General Manager Jim Hammett said. "Bringing those two together allows him to create big opportunities and we think he'll be a great fit in our system."

The 5-foot-8, 155-pound forward has posted 31 points (13G-18A) in 26 games this season with Okanagan Hockey Academy Black U17 Prep alongside Wadsworth. He added on five more points in four playoff games with two goals and three assists. Like Wadsworth, Jamieson also got some ice time with the Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 squad, where he tacked on two assists in one game played.

Wadsworth and Jamieson join fellow signed Chiefs prospects Luka Shcherbyna, Nathan Mayes, Will McIsaac and Berkly Catton.
