Two Calgary Hitmen Prospects on Short List for Team Pacific

Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen prospects Keaton Lubin and Robert Trzonkowski (tro-zin-kowski) have both been short listed as possible players for Team Pacific at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The tournament will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba from December 29 - January 4 with the final roster to be selected in November.

Lubin, from Okotoks, AB, was a third round pick of the Hitmen (66th overall) in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. Trzonkowski, from Calgary, AB, was taken in the eighth round (155th overall) in the same draft.

Both players will be at Calgary Hitmen Training Camp which opens Wednesday, September 1st at Don Hartman North East Sportsplex (5206-68th Street NE).

The six day camp begins with rookie player registration and fitness testing. Over 80 prospects are expected to attend with sessions to also include practices and intra-squad games.

The top rookies will advance to main camp which opens on Friday, September 3rd with registration and fitness testing. The first on-ice sessions start the following day.

All training camp sessions including Labor Day Monday's annual Hitmen Intra-Squad Game are free and open to the public. Rosters will be available at the arena.
