WINNIPEG, MB - Winnipeg Blue Bomber stalwarts Milt Stegall and Barrin Simpson have been recognized by the Canadian Football League for the second day in a row.

Stegall was today named the Rogers Offensive Player of the Month while Simpson was chosen the Rogers Defensive Player of the Month. Stegall was named Rogers Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Winnipeg's Week 5 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats while Simpson was named the Rogers Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row following his performance against the Tiger-Cats.

Stegall established a new CFL record for career touchdowns when he scored his 138th and 139th of his career in last week's 36-18 win over Hamilton. The Turtle-Man currently leads the CFL in receiving yardage with 406 yards on 26 receptions including three TD catches.

Bombers quarterback Kevin Glenn and running back Charles Roberts were runners-up for the Rogers Offensive Player of the Month Award.

Simpson has lived up to his title as Minister of Defence of the Blue Bombers. He currently leads the CFL in defensive tackles with 42. He has also added two quarterback sacks, one forced fumble and one interception.
