Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - Flint Generals announced Monday that center Tony Tuzzolino has left the team, signing a contract with a team in Italy.

Tuzzolino regrets leaving the team but could not pass up on the financial opportunity offered him, expressing his need to look after the financial security and well being of his family.

"Putting the team together late, we knew we were taking chances on a few players that traditionally play in Europe and that is what happened," says General Manager Peter South.

During his 37 games played with the Generals, Tuzzolino had 5 goals and 13 assists.

The Generals return to Perani this Friday to host the Bloomington PrairieThunder for a 7:30 puck drop. This Friday's game is the first "Facebook Friday," a promotion that offers up to three (3) $5 tickets for followers of the Flint Generals Group on Facebook. Group followers can go to the group page and print off the "Facebook Friday" photo and present it to the Ticket Office when purchasing their tickets; the photo must be presented in order to be eligible for the $5 tickets.
