Dayton Dragons News Release

Dayton , OH - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the promotion of Dayton Dragons 2B Justin Turner to the Sarasota Reds of the Florida State League. Taking Turner's spot on the active roster is INF Todd Frazier, just called up to the Dragons from the Billings Mustangs of the Pioneer League.

Turner has been swinging a hot bat in the month of August and has consistently been amongst the top hitters in the Dragons lineup in 2007. The right handed hitter was batting .375 during the month of August, with a home run and six RBI. For 2007, Turner's .311 average was the third best in the Midwest League and his 145 hits was just one shy of South Bend's Daniel Perales for the league lead. Just yesterday, Turner was named the second baseman on the Midwest League postseason all-star team.

Frazier was selected by the Cincinnati Reds as a supplemental first round selection, 34 th overall, in the June 2007 First-Year Player Draft. The shortstop who was named the Big East Player of the Year at Rutgers University is enjoying a strong start to his professional career, hitting .319 with five home runs and 25 RBI in 41 games for the Billings Mustangs. Frazier becomes the second 2007 draft pick to join the Dragons, joining fellow middle infielder Zack Cozart.

The Dragons roster remains at 25 active players.
