TULSA, Ok. - The Tulsa Drillers (30-23, 67-55) topped the Springfield Cardinals (24-29, 54-69) with a 7-1 win in the season series finale on Thursday night.

DECISIONS:

W: RHP Edwin Uceta (6-2)

L: LHP Evan Kruczynski (2-8)

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:

-The Drillers powered into an early 2-0 lead with a solo home runs from RF Carlos Rincon in the second and 1B Eric Peterson in the third.

-The Cardinals got on the board in the top of the fourth. With runners at the corners and two away, 2B Yariel Gonzalez broke from first base on a pitch for a stolen base attempt. While the Drillers attempted to retire Gonzalez, SS Kramer Robertson darted home from third on what was ultimately a fielder's choice as Tulsa retired Gonzalez after the run scored, making it 2-1.

-The Drillers padded the lead right back out in the fourth with one run on an error and one coming on an RBI double by SS Errol Robinson to make it 4-1.

-A LF Cody Thomas solo home run and an RBI sac fly from SS Omar Estevez in the 6th made it 6-1, before another solo shot from Thomas in the seventh extended the Tulsa lead to 7-1.

NOTABLES:

-2B Yariel Gonzalez went 2x4 with a pair of singles to extend a four-game hitting streak.

-3B Elehuris Montero went 1x3 with a single and a walk.

-SS Kramer Robertson went 1x5 with a single, a steal and a run in his return from AAA-Memphis.

-All-Star CF Dylan Carlson was promoted to AAA-Memphis on Thursday and went 1x4 with a double and a run in his Redbirds debut against the Iowa Cubs at AutoZone Park.
