Tuesday's Sea Dogs Game Postponed
May 24, 2005 - Eastern League (EL1)
Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine- For the second consecutive day and seventh time this season, tonight's (May 24th) Sea Dogs game against the Binghamton Mets scheduled for 6:00 PM has been postponed due to rain. No make-up date has yet been announced for this rain out. Sea Dogs President and General Manager Charlie Eshbach made the decision Tuesday afternoon. The Sea Dogs are already scheduled to play a doubleheader on Wednesday, May 25th (weather permitting) due to yesterday's postponement.
Tuesday's rainout is the seventh postponement at Hadlock Field this season, setting a new franchise record for rainouts in a single season, despite the fact the Sea Dogs are only a third of the way through the season. Through 24 days in the Month of May only seven days have been rain free.
Fans with tickets for Tuesday's rain out, may exchange their tickets at the Hadlock Field Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2005 Sea Dogs regular season home game, subject to availability. Any questions regarding tickets should be directed to the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or tickets@seadogs.com.
Portland has an Eastern League Northern Division best record of 22-16. Tickets to all remaining Sea Dogs regular season home games are available and can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or on-line at www.seadogs.com.
