Tucson Sidewinders News Release
Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders, current owners of a 27-20 record, return home on Friday, May 28, 2004 to host the Northern Division Portland Beavers (San Diego Padres) and Salt Lake Stingers (Anaheim Angels). The Sidewinders went 4-4 on their most recent road trip to Colorado Springs and Albuquerque and sit just a half game out of first place in the Southern Division. The Sidewinders have been feeding off of the hot bat of IF Andy Green, who's recent consecutive on-base streak which ended at 32 was a Sidewinder season high and he currently leads the Pacific Coast League in doubles (20).
The home stand kicks off with a fun packed Friday opener including Sidewinders Bat Giveway, a pre-game Family Fun Fest, and a showing of the movie Shrek after the game! Other highlights include Memorial Weekend Fireworks on Saturday, May 29, and Sleepover Night on Friday, June 4.
