FORT MYERS, Fla. - The results are in! Republican nominee Donald Trump has been declared the winner of Florida by the Fort Myers Miracle in Bobblection 2016.
Trump won the Fort Myers leg of Bobblection defeating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and other third party options. Trump took home 59.9 percent of the vote while Clinton finished with 28.9 percent and those that selected "other" and received a Stan or Haney bobblehead totaled 11.2 percent.
Baseball fans lined up at the gates well before Hammond Stadium opened on Thursday for a chance to have their voices heard at the voting booth. Once fans cast their vote, they received a bobblehead of the candidate they voted for and took their seats to watch the Miracle and Palm Beach Cardinals. Trump proved to be the popular choice. Fans that chose "other" received a discounted All You Can Eat wristband for a special Third Party Party where a Johnson's gift package and Jill Stein stein were given away.
The nationally recognized Bobblection 2016 promotion has already had stops at ballparks for the Lincoln Salt Dogs, Charleston RiverDogs, St. Paul Saints and Hudson Valley Renegades. the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Lakewood Blue Claws and Hickory Crawdads will hold their Bobblection dates in the coming days and an overall winner will be announced in early September.
