Tri-City Storm on Season-Long Four Game Point Streak

The Tri-City Storm took three of a possible four points this weekend at Fargo, moving the team up to a tie for fourth in the Western Conference. The team is on a season-long four-game point streak, its longest since setting a new club record with points in 13 straight games from February 12 - March 19, 2016.

Alex Limoges recorded seven goals and 11 points in October, second most by a USHL player this month. The team's leading scorer (13 pts.) is on a seven-game point streak and has goals in six straight contests.

First-year Storm players also made an impact in Saturday's game; goalie Eric Dop debuted with 36 saves and Danny DiGrande scored his first Tri-City goal.

Currently tied with the Omaha Lancers at 12 points, the Storm (5-4-0-1) matches Omaha (6-6-0-0) on Social Media Night this Friday, November 4 at 7:05 p.m., presented by the Nebraska Lottery.

Need to Know Limoges' dominant month Cornell commit Alex Limoges recorded a point in the last seven games of October, giving the 19-year-old the longest active point streak in the league. Limoges also holds the longest current goal streak, with tallies in six straight games.

In eight games this month, Limoges scored seven goals, second-most in the league, and 11 points, tied for second-best. The native of Winchester, Virginia is tied for fourth in the USHL with seven goals and 13 points.

Limoges has three multi-point games in the last four contests and Tri-City has recorded points in all four games.

Excellent end to October After dropping its first four October games, the Storm went 3-0-0-1 (7 points) in the last four games of the month.

Tri-City averaged 2.25 goals a game during the first four losses, but exploded for 4.25 goals a game over the last four.

Danny's goal Forward Danny DiGrande scored his first Storm goal Saturday at Fargo, his first USHL tally since recording a hat trick on February 15, 2016 at Bloomington. DiGrande, then a member of the Muskegon Lumberjacks scored three goals against the Thunder in a span of 14:30. The native of Macomb, Michigan finished 2015-16 with three goals and four points in 37 games; the only USHL contest he tallied in prior to Saturday was his hat trick performance.

The second-year USHL skater was selected 26th overall in Phase II of the 2015 Draft by the Lumberjacks.
