The Boise Hawks (22-22) fell to the Tri-City Dust Devils (21-23) by a final score of 7-2 on Sunday evening. Tri-City has now won the first three games of the five-game set and the Hawks have now lost five straight games.

Boise got the games first run in the 2nd inning. Tri-City starter Adrian Martinez walked Cade Harris to start the inning, and it was Cole Anderson with a single to move Harris over to third-base. Hidekel Gonzalez came up and grounded out to the first-baseman but it allowed Harris to score and Boise led 1-0.

The Dust Devils kept adding on off Hawks starter Pearson McMahan. McMahan allowed two more in the 4th inning when Michael Curry singled to score Luis Asuncion. The RBI for Curry gave the Dust Devils a 4-1 lead and they added another one later in the inning when Grant Little doubled scoring Curry to make it a 5-1 advantage for Tri-City.

Boise put another run on the board in the 5th inning. After LeeMarcus Boyd reached base on an error, Terrin Vavra singled up the middle and the Hawks made it just a 5-2 lead for Tri-City.

Hawks starter Pearson McMahan finishes the evening going five innings, allowing five earned runs. Mike Bunal came on and after throwing two innings of scoreless baseball, the right-hander gave up a two-run home run to Blake Hunt in the 8th inning and the Dust Devils led 7-2.

Bunal goes three innings allowing two runs and strikes out two.

Miguel Ausua threw a scoreless 9th inning for Boise but the Hawks couldn't get anything going late and fall 7-2. Boise left nine men-on-base for the game.

Boise has now lost five-straight games and they go back to the .500 mark at 22-22 for the 1st time since July 2nd when they were 9-9.
