TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Windy City starter Toro Trevino lasted 7.2 innings in Traverse City and allowed one earned run on six hits as the Bolts beat Traverse City by a 3-2 score on Wednesday night.

Trevino (2-1) allowed both Traverse City runs, only one earned while striking out five and walking one in the Windy City (22-29) victory. Traverse City (32-18) starter Tony Casoli (8-2) went eight innings and gave up all three Bolt runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out six. ThunderBolt closer Brian Beuning saved his 15th game of 2006 after going an inning and a third and surrendering just one hit. Beuning has saves in three of the last four ThunderBolt wins.

Windy City scored all three runs in the third frame. Anthony Seratelli led off the inning with an infield single. Clemente Bonilla followed with a single of his own before John Santor drove in Seratelli with a third straight single. After a Josh Buhagiar sacrifice, an RBI fielder's choice by Mike Forbes scored Bonilla. An RBI single by John McCarthy plated Santor for the three Windy City runs. Bonilla finished his night 3-5 with two singles, a double, and a run scored. John Santor earned his third straight multi-hit game, going 2-4 at the plate with an RBI. John McCarthy also had two hits, finishing 2-3 with an RBI.

Traverse City scored one in the first after Stephen Young hit an infield single and moved to second on a throwing error by T'Bolt SS Ray Navarro. Two batters later, Nick Batkoski drove in Young with an RBI single. In the second inning DH Mike Reese hit his fourth home run of the year to lead off the frame. After the Reese home run, Trevino allowed just five base runners over the next 6.2 innings.

The ThunderBolts end their six game road trip with a 5-1 record. The Bolts also won their first rubber game of 2006. Traverse City has lost three of four and heads to Rockford tomorrow night. Windy City has won six of eight and returns home to face Florence on Thursday night.
