(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees announced today that OF Austin Krum has been placed on the seven day disabled list (hamstring), and that they have received OF Jack Rye from High-A Tampa. Additionally, RHP Eric Wordekemper has been transferred back to the Trenton roster from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Krum left Saturday night's game in the sixth inning with the injury. He is batting .251 with 5 HR and 34 RBI in 78 games for the Thunder this season. Rye, 24, comes up from Tampa, where he was hitting .263 with 3 HR, 26 RBI and 6 SB in 60 games. In three games played for the Thunder in 2009, Rye went 1-for-9 with a double.

Wordekemper started the 2010 season in Trenton, where he went 3-0 with a 2.88 ERA in 23 games before being transferred to Triple-A Scranton on June 15. In eight appearances for Scranton, Wordekemper pitched 8 2/3 scoreless innings with seven strike outs.

The Thunder conclude a four game series against the Harrisburg Senators tonight at 7:05 PM at Waterfront Park. RHP Hector Noesi (5-1, 1.90) makes the start for Trenton, while Harrisburg goes with LHP Tom Milon (6-3, 3.34).
