
Tremont Waters Named NBA G League Player of the Week

PORTLAND, Maine - The NBA G League announced today that Maine Red Claws guard Tremont Waters has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24.
Waters, a Two-Way Player with the Red Claws, has helped lead Maine to a 5-0 start, including two wins last week. On the week, Waters averaged 24.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 2.0 steals. On the season, Waters is averaging 20.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists over 5 games.
Waters was the 51st overall selection by Boston in the 2019 NBA Draft, signing a Two-Way Contract with the Celtics over the summer. He is currently with the Celtics on his two-way deal, and expected to be in uniform tonight when Boston faces Sacramento.
Waters is the first Red Claws player to win NBA G League Player of the Week honors since Kadeem Allen in January 2018.
