
Trax Times Three This Week

Macon Trax News Release
Easy As 1, 2, 3: The Macon Trax will have three home games this weekend. The Trax host the Jacksonville Barracudas on Friday at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday the Winston-Salem Parrots come calling for a 7:30 p.m. contest. The weekend concludes with a 6:30 p.m. game against the Orlando Seals.
All road games will be broadcast on the Trax Clear Channel Radio Network, WLCG AM 1280; WRNC AM 1670; WVMG AM 14404; and WVMG 96.7 FM.
Super Bowl Party: Sunday's game the Trax are teaming up with WPGA 58 to sponsor a Super Bowl kick off party. All tickets for Sunday's game are only $5.
Nearly Perfect: The Trax went three for four last week, winning twice on the road and once at home. The Trax defeated Jacksonville on Tuesday, 5-2 with five different players scoring goals. The balanced scoring attack continued on Friday ast the Trax defeated Winston-Salem 4-3. Nine of the 12 skaters in that game had points for the Trax. On Saturday the Trax set a franchise record with their third straight win, 3-0 over Knoxville. The Trax were within six seconds of a perfect week on Sunday. But two goals in that six second span rallied Knoxville from a 3-2 deficit to a 4-3 win over the Trax.
Blankety Blank: The win over Knoxville was the first shutout for the Trax in their history. Goaltender Geoff Faulkner stopped 26 shots in that game.
New Faces: The ACHL assigned goaltender Andrew Zoppo to the Trax and center Jeremy Kyte on a three game tryout. The Trax waived goaltender Jeremy Day.
Nice Seeing You: This weekend's games conclude a five game homestand for the Trax and will also be their last home game in January. The Trax will play their next four games on the road and will not be at home again until February 1st.
Pract-ice: The Trax will practice this week at 10 a.m. at the Centreplex.
