Trax Sweep Weekly ACHL Honors

Rolling to three victories in four games, and notching the team's first shutout, has earned two Macon Trax players recognition as Atlantic Coast Hockey League Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week.

Right winger Tom Stewart who had three goals and two assists on the week. Ironically he had two goals in the Trax only loss, a 4-3 setback against Knoxville.

It was also against Knoxville that goaltender Geoff Faulkner stopped all 26 shots he faced keying the Trax to their third straight win, and first shutout in team history. Faulkner had a save percentage of .911 for the week.

The Trax will play three home games this weekend starting with a 7:30 contest against the Jacksonville Barracudas on Friday night.

Every Monday night the Trax broadcast their hour long coach's radio show live from Locos Deli & Pub at 6 p.m. The Hockey Happy Hour, and all Trax road games, can be heard on the Trax radio network, WLCG AM 1280, WRNC AM 1670, WVMG AM 1440 and WVMG 96.7 FM.
