Travis Winter becomes new RoughRiders Assistant Coach

Jeff Jauch, President and CEO of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, announced today that Travis Winter has joined their organization as Assistant Coach.

"We are very happy to add such an outstanding individual to our coaching staff. He comes very highly recommended within the hockey community," said Jauch.

Travis played his college hockey career at Bemidji State University (2005-09) in a program that has a great history of winning year after year.  He served as both a captain and an assistant captain during his time at Bemidji State.  He is an alumnus of the USHL's Indiana Ice (2004-05).

"Travis understands the importance of sheer hard work and sacrifice.  He brings a tremendous passion for the game of hockey and the United States Hockey League," said Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson.

Carlson added, "He will be a tremendous asset to our players, our staff and the Cedar Rapids community. We welcome Travis to our team."

Travis currently serves as Men's Hockey Volunteer Assistant Coach at Saint John's University located in Collegeville, MN.
