
Travis Trice Named to USA Men's World Cup Qualifying Team

Wisconsin Herd guard Travis Trice was named to the 12-man USA roster for the November USA World Cup Qualifying Team. Trice previously represented the USA in the September 2018 World Cup Qualifier.
"We're proud to have Travis represent the Wisconsin Herd, USA Basketball and his country on Team USA," said Herd General Manager Dave Dean. "The international experience is valuable in his continued development."
Named to the USA World Cup Qualifying Team with Trice were Joel Berry II (South Bay Lakers), Reggie Hearn (Stockton Kings), Scotty Hopson (Oklahoma City Blue), John Jenkins (Westchester Knicks), DeAndre Liggins (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Eric Moreland (Free Agent), Chasson Randle (Capital City Go-Go), Cameron Reynolds (Stockton Kings), Richard Solomon (Oklahoma City Blue), Jarnell Stokes (Free Agent) and Tyler Zeller (Free Agent).
Former NBA head coach Jeff Van Gundy, who led the USA to a 7-1 record in FIBA Americas World Cup Qualifying action and directed the USA 5-0 record and the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup Championship, will serve as head coach of the USA Basketball Men's World Cup Qualifying Team.
The USA will train Nov. 23-25 at the Houston Rockets' practice facility. The team will play two second-round games, the first versus Argentina (7-1) on Nov. 29 (6:30 p.m. CT) in La Rioja, Argentina and the second on Dec. 2 (5 p.m. CT) versus Uruguay (5-3) in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The team will complete its World Cup Qualifying competition with a pair of second-round February home games in Greensboro, North Carolina. The USA will play Panama on Feb. 22 (6 p.m. CT) and Argentina on Feb. 25 (6 p.m. CT).
