Tortugas to Host Pokemon Go Night

DAYTONA BEACH, FL- The Daytona Tortugas invite all Pokémon Go trainers to catch and train their Pokémon at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Saturday, July 30th starting at 5:30 P.M. The event will last throughout the entirety of the night which includes the game beginning at 7:05 P.M., the post-game firework display, and a "Catch 'Em All" session with Tortugas players and staff following the fireworks.

Starting at 5:30 P.M. participants will register at the check-in table to receive their Jackie Robinson Ballpark gym badge, while supplies last, along with a raffle ticket to have a chance to win prizes throughout the night. There will be lure modules set up at the two Poké Stops within the ballpark during the entirety of the event. Participants who choose to compete in the Tortugas Pokémon Challenge will need to show their Pokémon Go Journal to prove how many Pokémon they have caught prior to the event. At the conclusion of the evening, the participant with the most Pokémon caught from the beginning of the event to the post-game "Catch 'Em All" session will win a prize.

Fans will also be encouraged to participate in social media contests including "Strongest Pokémon", "Funniest Photo", "Best Picture with Shelldon", and "Best Jackie Robinson Ballpark Catch", to win additional prizes. Prizes will be announced leading up to the event on the team's official Twitter account, @daytonatortugas.

In addition, there will be a Pre-Game Happy Hour including Heineken/Yuengling products and 2-for-1 hot dogs and small sodas. There will also be Pokémon themed food and beverages, including the Magmar Melt, along with Pikachu Punch, Blue Blastoise, Dratini Martini, and Flareon Fireball mixed drinks.
