
Torrington Titans' offense too much for the Pittsfield Suns in 12-3 rout

The Torrington Titans (16-14) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Pittsfield Suns (16-14), recording a 12-3 victory on Thursday at Wahconah Park.
Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Torrington Titans to put the game away early.
A sacrifice fly by Joe Paparelli, an error, a solo home run by Matthew Batten, and during the first inning and an RBI double by Mike Odenwaelder in the second inning fueled the Torrington Titans' offense early.
Batten racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Torrington Titans.
Kyle Dube had an impressive outing against the Pittsfield Suns' lineup. The Pittsfield Suns managed just one hit off of the the Torrington Titans' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
Connor Landers improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Torrington Titans. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. Landers struck out three, walked three and gave up nine hits.
Justin Finan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
