
Torres Delivers in Walk-Off Win

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (13-23) came away with the 3-2 win in extra innings over the Spokane Indians on Tuesday night to open the home series. In the bottom of the tenth inning Franklin Torres was the hero for the Dust Devils to secure the walk-off win.
Starting pitcher Hector Yan got a no-decision after his best outing of the season. Yan tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and notching ten strikeouts. Tri-City took a two-run lead into the eighth inning, but Spokane scored one run in each the eighth and ninth to send the game to extras. The Dust Devils were able to rally in the bottom of the tenth, with Torres's clutch hit clinching the win for Tri-City.
Coming up in the second matchup of the series on Wednesday the Dust Devils will send left-hander Brent Killam to the mound. Spokane will counter with right-hander Mitch Kilkenny.
It will be a Weenie Wednesday coming up on Wednesday night at Gesa Stadium, where $2 hot dogs will be available all game long.
