Toros Fall to Skyforce, 105-100

Cedar Park, TX March 8, 2012 - Despite another strong showing by Eric Dawson, the Austin Toros fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 105-100 at Cedar Park Center Thursday night.

The Skyforce jumped to an early lead with the Toros trailing 33-22 at the end of the first quarter.

During the second quarter, the Toros went on an 11-0 run to cut the lead, 40-39. Luke Zeller, who was reacquired by the Toros today, helped propel the run by hitting two long jump shots. The Toros tied the game just before the half, 52-52.

Julian Wright gave the Toros their first lead of the second half, 60-59, with a layup in the third quarter. After going back and forth, the Toros trailed going into the fourth, 75-72.

The Toros took their first lead of the fourth, 82-80, off a mid-range shot from Da'Sean Butler. Five Toros scored in double digits with Eric Dawson leading the way recording a double-double of 12 rebounds and matched season high of 25 points.

The Skyforce was led by Anthony Mason with 34 points, Trey Gilder and Keith Benson both earned double-doubles scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 19 points, 11 rebounds respectively.
