
Springfield's Jeff Foote Signs with New Orleans Hornets

NEW YORK, March 9, 2012 - The New Orleans Hornets today signed Jeff Foote of the Springfield Armor for the 30th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Foote joins almost 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
In 29 games, 28 starts, with the Armor, Foote (7-0, 265, Cornell) averaged 14.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. He recorded 10 double-doubles and scored more than 20 points four times.
A 2012 NBA D-League All-Star, Foote was an Ivy League champion in all three of his years at Cornell (2008, 2009 and 2010) and was named the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2009 and the All-Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year in 2010.
Foote is expected to join the Hornets today and be available tonight when the team faces the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
