Austin Spurs News Release

AUSTIN, Texas - After building a 19-point lead in the third quarter, the Arkansas RimRockers fought off a late surge by the Austin Toros to win 114-112 on Saturday night at the Austin Convention Center.

Cheyne Gadson missed two free throws with less than 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter that would have tied the game but instead allowed Tucker to push the RimRockers lead to 113-109 after the insuing foul on the missed free throws.

The RimRockers were led in scoring by Clay Tucker's 29 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Tucker, who scored an NBA D-League single game record 51 points in his last game at the Austin Convention Center, helped close the door on the Toros with 12 points in the period.

Gadson and Troy Bell led the Toros in scoring with 17 points. Other Toros players in double figures included Jamar Smith (16 points), Kris Clack (15) and BJ Elder (14). Smith and Clack both recorded double-doubles with 14 and 10 rebounds, respectively.

Other RimRockers in double figures included Roger Powell, who scored 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Powell also had five rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
