What You Need To Know About the Marlies
- Toronto ranks second in the AHL playoffs in penalty kill percentage (89.7%) and fourth in power play percentage (25.0%)

Last Week:
On Friday night, the Marlies defeated the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, by a score of 4-0 at Ricoh Coliseum. With the win, Toronto earned their first ever sweep in a seven-game playoff series.
The Marlies scored the first goal of the game for the seventh consecutive time with Greg McKegg notching his third goal of the postseason.
Carter Ashton scored his second goal of the playoffs early in the middle frame to give Toronto a 2-0 advantage.
Peter Holland made it 3-0 on a breakaway midway through the third period. Korbinian Holzer secured a second round sweep of Chicago, scoring into an empty net at 19:55. Drew MacIntyre made 30 saves to record his second shutout of the postseason.
Western Conference Final Preview:
The Marlies will travel to the Cedar Park Center in Austin, Texas to open the Western Conference Final against the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, on Friday night. Puck drop is 8:30 p.m. ET.
Toronto split the season series with Texas (2-2-0-0) with both teams winning a pair of games on home ice.
The Marlies won the last meeting between the two teams by a score of 4- 1 at Air Canada Centre on February 17. Forward Travis Morin leads the Stars in postseason scoring with 10 points (two goals, eight assists).
Goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp ranks fourth in the AHL with a 0.934 postseason save percentage and 1.68 goals against average.
The Stars rank fifth (tie) in AHL playoff power play percentage (22.0%) and fifth in postseason penalty kill percentage (86.7%).
