The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 1-1-0-0 this past week.

On Friday night, Toronto travelled to New York to take on the Binghamton Senators, AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, for the second time this season. In a game that saw Toronto outshoot Binghamton 38-25, the Senators managed a 3-2 victory. Spencer Abbott and Dylan Yeo scored goals for Toronto. Yeo's tally was his first as a member of the Marlies. Jussi Rynnas stopped 21 of 24 shots in the loss. Toronto went 1-for-5 on the powerplay and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.

Toronto traveled to Copps Coliseum on Saturday night to play the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. In the 9th of 12 meetings between the two teams this season, the Marlies earned a 3-2 shootout victory in front of over 8,800 fans. Tim Connolly recorded a goal in his first career AHL game while Joe Colborne, Spencer Abbott and Matt Frattin all scored in the shootout to give the Marlies their 23rd victory of the season. Mark Owuya made 18 saves in the win.

Look Ahead:

This week will see Toronto play once on the road and once at Ricoh Coliseum.

On Thursday night, Toronto travels to Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. Toronto has posted a record of 1-1-1-0 against Lake Erie so far this season. Rookies Mike Sgarbossa and Andrew Agozzino lead the Monsters in points with 32. Goaltender Calvin Pickard has posted 11 wins in 23 starts during his first full American Hockey League season.

The Marlies return home on Saturday for the first time since playing on January 5th against Rockford. Toronto will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 5 p.m. Riley Holzapfel has recorded 25 points in 39 games to lead the Penguins offensively. Goaltender Jeff Zatkoff has 12 wins in 24 starts this season.
