ON THE SCORESHEET

- William Nylander returned to the line-up after missing 16 games due to the World Juniors and subsequent injury. He recorded an assist on the Marlies second period goal.

- TJ Brennan scored his team leading 18th goal to open the scoring for the Marlies and added an assist to extend his point streak to seven games.

- Justin Holl scored once and added assist, skating in his 100th game as a professional.

- Mark Arcobello extends his point streak to six games, recording 12 points in that span.

- Zach Hyman scored his ninth goal of the year. The Marlies are 18-1-0-0 when Hyman records a point in a game.

- Antoine Bibeau made 38 saves to earn his sixth straight win. During that stretch he has a .941 save percentage and 2.28 goals against average. He also surpasses his win total from last season as his record stands at 16-4-0-0.

- Connor Brown now has points in every game since returning from injury, assisting on the Marlies empty net goal.

- Brendan Leipsic scored his 14th goal of the year to seal the Marlies victory.

NOTABLES

- The Marlies improve to 10-1-0-0 against the Western Conference and 3-0-0-0 against Grand Rapids this season.

- Toronto has not lost a Saturday game in regulation this season, 10-0-1-0.

- Toronto has not allowed a power play goal in three games, successfully killing 12 opportunities.

- Grand Rapids shorthanded goal in the first period ended a scoreless streak of 96:59 against the Toronto Marlies.
