PORTLAND, ME - Rocco Grimaldi sniped a pair of goals to pace the Portland Pirates to a 4-2 win over the St. John's IceCaps Friday night at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine.
Portland took a 1-0 lead halfway through the first period but Bud Holloway, after being sidelined for four games, tied the contest in the waning seconds of the second with the IceCaps on a five-on-three powerplay.
The Pirates fired three straight goals in third, including two by Grimaldi, to seal the win before IceCap Mark MacMillan scored with three seconds left in the contest.
Portland won all four games of the Eimskip Challenge versus the IceCaps.
