
Toronto FC Releases 2012 MLS Regular Season Broadcast Schedule

Toronto FC released its 2012 broadcast schedule on Friday, along with changes to the original schedule that was released last month. There have been five time changes and one date change. They include:
- Saturday, April 7 at Montreal will now kick-off at 12 p.m. E.T.
- Saturday, May 5 against D.C. United will now kick-off at 4 p.m. ET.
- Sunday, July 8 at Philadelphia will now kick-off at 4 p.m. ET.
- Wednesday, August 15 against Portland will now begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
- Saturday, October 20 against Montreal, now at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The match against Chicago originally scheduled for Saturday, July 21 at BMO Field will now take place on Wednesday September 12 at 7 p.m. ET.
This season, Toronto FC regular season games will be broadcast across three networks. TSN returns as the national broadcast partner and will carry 18 games between TSN and TSN2. GOLTV Canada will broadcast ten games, and Sportsnet will carry six regular season games, split between Rogers Sportsnet One and Rogers Sportsnet Ontario.
Toronto FC will open the 2012 campaign on Saturday, March 17 in Seattle against the Sounders. The following week, the Reds will host the San Jose Earthquakes in their 2012 Home Opener on Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m. ET.
The 2012 schedule will feature 25 Saturday and two Sunday matches, with 13 of those coming at home and all but one of them starting at 4:30 p.m. or earlier (June 30 vs. New York, 7 p.m.).
All games will be broadcasted in HD. For games on GOLTV Canada, please call your service provider and inform them "you want GOLTV HD." Fans can also download the Real Sports app on XBOX 360. Prior to the start of the 2012 MLS regular season, Toronto FC will host LA Galaxy at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday, March 7 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-finals.
